The Sunday Post (5)

The Sunday Post is a meme hosted by Kimba the Caffeinated Book Reviewer. ~ Inspired by the meme In My Mailbox.~

It’s a chance to share News. A post to recap the past week, showcase books and things we have received and share news about what is coming up for the week on our blog.

Hooray! I actually remembered to get my post ready before I needed it this week! This has been another busy week for me, which is odd because I figured after so much activity last week it would all die down and I’d be back to lots of free time…but nope. I’m not complaining though, it’s nice to actually have things to do even if it cuts into my reading time and such. Anyway on to the recap!

The Week’s Reviews:

Wither by Lauren DeStefano

Daughter of Smoke and Bone by Laini Taylor

Both were fantastic reads and are definitely worth looking into if you are curious about them. I managed to finish up Lies Beneath and Lips Touch: Three Times, so you’ll see reviews of those in the coming weeks as well. I’ve started Birthmarked by Caragh O’Brien and The Infects by Sean Beaudoin, I’m hoping to finish them up in the next few days so I can get them reviewed and move on. My TBR pile is kind of overwhelming at the moment.

As always I’ve updated the Kindle Deals page this week. You may notice that the lists are a little shorter, that’s simply because having too many book covers means that all of them don’t load. I took down those that had been listed the longest and added a few new ones.

Swag:

I won some swag from Shelley Coriell the author of Welcome, Caller, This is Chloe. The prize pack included a signed bookplate, a bookmark, a postcard, a Amulet Books mousepad, a pen (that some how managed to escape from the picture) and a super cool bottle cap necklace that her niece made for her charity (Little Goody 2-Shoes). Please check it out, I find it really inspiring and amazing that a 12 year old choose to create something so wonderful.

  3. lol – This was my first Sunday Post and I had it all ready to go and this morning hated it and deleted it all. So I re-wrote it at the last minute. Next week I’ll be a planner like you!

I adored Wither too – I have Daughter of Smoke and Bone but have been putting it off. It sounds like I need to get to it though.

You got me on Squishies too. I used my Prime membership and borrowed it for free. 😉
