Sunday Post (39)

Sunday Post

The Sunday Post is a meme hosted by Kimba the Caffeinated Book Reviewer. ~ Inspired by the meme In My Mailbox.~

It’s a chance to share News. A post to recap the past week, showcase books and things we have received and share news about what is coming up for the week on our blog.

This week has been surprisingly good for me even though little to nothing has happened, which if you’ve been following me for any amount of time you know it’s rare that anything actually does happen. I did go see The Hobbit again for the second time and it was just as much fun as the first time. Unfortunately it would seem my boyfriend has caught that crazy stomach flu that is immune to medicine…so I’m just counting the days until I get it. I’ll probably follow him around with a bottle of Clorox for a few days.

On the blog this week:

Tuesday: The Flowers of Evil by Charles Baudelaire (Review)

Thursday: Kindle Deals

Friday: Daynight Book Tour Stop – Interview with Megan Thomason

Next Week:

Monday: Fighting to Survive Book Blitz (Guest Post & Giveaway)

Tuesday: Til the World Ends by Julie Kagawa, Ann Aguirre, and Karen Duvall (Review)

Wednesday: Waiting on Wednesday #18 (I’m actually going to post it this time I swear)

Thursday: Kindle Deals

Friday: Forty Days by Stephanie Parent (Cover Reveal)

In the Book World:

The Virtual Scarlet launch party is on the 4th, so next Monday! Marissa Meyer is holding it on Shindig.com and will be holding a Q & A, prizes, reading from Scarlet and more! So make sure to stop by at 8 pm EST! It is not necessary to RSVP but if you do it sends you an email reminder.

Netgalley:

Doctor Who Series 3: Volume 1

I got this a few weeks ago but I can’t remember if I shared it or not. Anyway, thank you IDW!

From Publisher:

The Breakaway by Michelle Davidson Argyle

Rhemalda Publishing was offering free e-copies of this as a special promo and I couldn’t help but snag this one since I’ve been curious about it for a while now. Thanks Rhemalda!

So how was your week?

  1. Doctor Who! ❤

Glad it was a good week.. Nothing is good sometimes. 🙂 Hope your boyfriend feels better and doesn't pass the bug to you.

  2. Nice haul..i do love Dr. Who 🙂 Lysol everything and sleep on the sofa..hopefully you will be safe *fingers crossed* Enjoy your week! The Sunday Post

  3. I keep looking at the kindle deals and being so tempted! But then I’m all.. no .. I have a nook! It’ still hard to refrain lol Looking forward to your review of Till the worlds end! I will be reading that one soon Here is my post!

    • Every time I update the page I end up downloading more, they are always the free ones but there is no way I’m going to be able to read all of them. I’ve tried looking up Nook freebies but it seems like B&N doesn’t want people to actually find them. :/

  4. Dru says:

I know that I’m never going to read more than 2/3 of the freebies I download, but one never knows.

  5. Oh no, I hope your boyfriend feels better soon, and that the Clorox works and you don’t get it. I still haven’t seen The Hobbit yet – looks like I might just wait until it hits DVD.

  6. Alicia♥ says:

Haha! I planned a WoW post this week too, coupled with reminders and alarms on my phone to remember posting up but I forget all about it again and missed the day!! I’ll have to constantly knock my head to drill it into my thick skull to remember posting xD Great books this week– and I really need to know who’s Dr. Who!!

    • I always remember when it’s around 6pm on Wednesday, so I have to do it a head of time or it’ll never happen. Glad to know I’m not alone…Also the Doctor is simply awesome and I completely recommend watching the show!

  7. Dr. Who is so feverishly popular. I haven’t read any or even watched any. Must do! Enjoy your reading.

  8. A Doctor Who book! Lucky you! 😀 Have fun reading these, and hope you have a lovely week!

  9. I haven’t seen this book yet, but I like the cover. The shadow with the gun looks so ominous! I hope I can remember to stop by that Q&A next monday. Sounds like a good time. My STS/Sunday Post

  10. I can’t believe you’ve gotten to see The Hobbit twice. My husband and I still haven’t seen it. Show times just haven’t matched up with our schedules. We haven’t been able to see Les Mis for the same reason! UGH! Hope your boyfriend feels better soon and that you don’t end up catching it.

The Breakaway looks interesting! Check out my SP & STS.

    • Yeah we used our best friend as an excuse to go again since he hadn’t had the chance to see it. I think we’re waiting for Les Mis to come out on BluRay since we’ve heard mixed things about it.

  11. That’s funny, when my kids are sick, I go behind them everywhere they go and spray Lysol. Hope he feels better. Nice haul. Enjoy.
