productreview

This July box makes for my fourth Fandom of the Month box!  And it has some super wearable pieces that I can’t wait to wear out and about.

Fandom of the Month Club is a once monthly subscription box that caters to the geek who loves to accessorize. Each month is a new fandom, and it’s a complete surprise as to what it will be.

Monthly – $13 , 3 Months – $36, 6 Months – $66, 12 Months – $120

You can check out the previous month’s boxes as well: April – Harry Potter, May – Lord of the Rings, June – Once Upon a Time

What’s in the Box?

This month’s theme is…

Hunger Games!!!

The Monthly Info Card with the design from TheHalfBloodPrints  and a super cute ‘If We Burn You Burn With Us’ bag from Sandsink

Rue’s Song

This is a gold bracelet with a little charm that has the notes to Rue’s Song on it, so you can always carry around a little piece of the rebellion with you. I love that it has a cool mix of chains and fixed pieces, it gives it a really neat look.

White Roses from Snow

These are white rose earrings, and I was super excited when I pulled these out of the box because I’ve been eyeing some just like them on Modcloth for a few months now! They are a tad heavy, but super cute and surprisingly versatile as well.

Real or Not Real?

Another instant favorite. I love rings and thanks to these boxes I’ve been wearing them more and more, so I super stoked to see another on in this one. It has Peeta’s line ‘Real or Not Real’ on it and is really easy to adjust for your ring size. My hands are small so I’ll probably keep this as a thumb ring.

The Mockingjay

This necklace is the final piece in this box and I think it looks stunning! The chain is one of those super long ones so I can easily pull it over my head without undoing the clasp, and it hangs to about the center of my chest. So it would be great for scoop and v-neck shirts…and honestly t-shirts as well, since that’s all I’ve won since I got it. Plus it matches the earrings perfectly and has the unmistakable symbol of an epic book series.

Final Verdict

While I wouldn’t say I’m a huge fangirl of Hunger Games, I do really love the books. It’s one of the first series that my boyfriend and I read together, and it has some really amazing moments in it. So this box is a complete win! Every piece is highly wearable and looks great. So this is yet another successful Fandom month!

This is an awesome box! I’ve been thinking about getting it.

  2. Very cool, I love these little fandom boxes.

  3. This one had a bunch of great things in it. I love the Rue’s song bracelet. I vowed I would never buy an “of the month box” subscription, but this one seems to be pretty great.

  4. I got this box too and I liked all the pieces that came inside. I haven’t read the books though. The box has made me want to start reading them! 😛

  5. I don’t tend to fangirl over any books really but if I were to fangirl then it would be over Harry Potter and The Hunger Games. This box is super cute, all the pieces are very wearable and I love the necklace in particular.

THG was my first Fandom of the Month box, and I was really impressed. I think you get a lot for what you pay. I can’t wait to see what’s in the next one. Great review!
