The Dragons have Risen

Erika Rosencrans has accomplished her life’s dream: proving that dragons exist. Now she only wants to share her life with the amazing red dragon, Geva, and hunt down more lost ancient temples while exploring her dragon lover’s vast sexual appetite.

Geva, a member of the dragon queen’s Court has two desires: to make Erika happy and to convince the adventurous woman to stay put long enough to bear his child.

In the process of exploring his dead mother’s journals, Geva and Erika discover a secret his parents kept that could change the lives of all dragons. But in order uncover the details of the secret and get what they both want, the two lovers must compromise.

I grabbed this entire series and the previous one on a whim one day, because who doesn’t like dragons? I never go into these little shorts expecting to have anything more than a passing amusement, so I really surprised to find that I enjoyed the actual story portion quite a lot. The dragon shifter lore was actually really well done, and I enjoyed learning about the culture and different rules in place for their society. To top it off the characters were actually quite likable too and I do feel that I got a good idea of who they were outside of the bedroom scenes, which there were plenty of.

The actual sex portion of it was really well written and definitely had a steam factor that couldn’t be denied. The shifting does come into play, but thankfully not in an overly bizarre way that would leave me scarred for life like other books have. However, if your into vanilla reads then you might want to pass on this though. I personally can’t wait to check out the rest of the books.

A HORNY ALIEN WHO NEEDS TO GET LAID OR HE’LL DIE

An alien race known as the Tall Whites are holed up in Nevada, and their only pilot has gone into heat, but as his wife died and he can’t have sex with another member of his race, the pressure building up within him will kill him, stranding the aliens on Earth.

ENTER AMY RUSH

The Tall Whites offer the military the secret of traversing wormholes if Amy can save their pilot.

SLEEPING WITH THE ALIEN

Amy agrees, but she doesn’t know how BIG the alien is.  The bigger the better sounds all well and good until she sees what she’s in for.  Can Amy handle the big guy?  The fate of the world hangs in the balance, and Amy doesn’t want this to be her last fling, so she pulls out all the stops to please the well endowed alien.

When I say I read these shorts for passing amusement, this is the series that comes to mind first…because it is way to hilarious for it’s own good. I started this series because why the hell not read about some woman saving the world by screwing aliens…my curiosity has lead me into worse literary situations so I’m pretty much fearless now.

Tall White and Hung pits Amy up against a Tall White who has lost his mate right before mating season, and now it’s up to her to calm him down as a part of humanity’s overwhelming desire to be  good neighbor and gain some top secret info. The conversations are still hilarious, but the sex is…almost normal. However the ending was pretty much the best part and had me giggle snorting at work. *hint* it involves a taser.

So in the end this was another little fun addition to the series, and I can’t wait to see how she handles a Mothman *shudders* in the next book.
