The Sunday Post is a meme hosted by Kimba the Caffeinated Book Reviewer. ~ Inspired by the meme In My Mailbox.~ It’s a chance to share.
This work week was a rough one. I’m seriously burned out when it comes to the bookstore, it’s sucking down money…my personal money. Which was expected early in the game when I had a second job with great pay…but now going on two years I don’t have that job anymore (which I get angrier about every time I’m forced to use my savings) and between making sure I can pay rent each month and staying open, I can’t actually move on with my life. So…YAY 2016. -_-
I am enjoying my time off, mostly. I finished DA: Inquistion in it’s entirety, but started a new game with a different race & class. I’m going to try to do things differently and romance a different person this time. I’m still playing Rare Replay, mostly Banjo Kazooie and Blast Corps. The controls are awful, but I remember having an issue with it when I was a kid too…so I think they were always awful, lol. And I’m playing Ark: Survival Evolved, which a game where you try to survive in a world of dinosaurs. It’s fun, terrifying, and a lot of work. Then add that to the amount of time binge watching Making a Murderer on Netflix (which is basically me staring at the screen in bewilderment) it’s odd that I’ve read as much as I have.

Book Haul

Yes, My Accent is Real by Kunal Nayyar (Borrowed)
Good luck with the bookstore, hope everything works out there. I’ve never played Dragon Age (sigh) but want to… one of these days, maybe. I always liked Bioware’s stuff.
Forbidden Island sounds like a fun game.
Ah, it so good! It’s similar to Mass Effect, but the controls and feel of the game are really different. It does take some getting use to, but it’s definitely a favorite series of mine.
I’m trying to remember if the bookstore is yours or you work there, but sorry to hear it’s draining your personal finances. (Of course if you’re just buying too many books there I’m gonna wave my finger at you and tell you to stop. Now! 😉 )
I don’t have Netflix (though it’s available here in Australia) but I’m hearing SO MUCH about ‘Making a Murderer’ I can’t wait to see it!
I hope the money issues with your bookstore work themselves out! Break a leg and all of that.
I bet that book by Kunal is funny! I love him on that show! Enjoy your week! My WOW
It is really funny! I just finished it 🙂
Oh bummer about the bookstore. Is it a used bookstore? I cannot remember, I hope 2016 has it seeing black..not red. We just started watching Jessica Jones on Nextflix..its kinda weird, kind of cool. Not sure yet.
Yep, it’s a used bookstore. I want to as well. but we shall see. I’m doing a bit of job searching, so I might move on sooner rather than later.
And Jessica Jones is pretty good, but it’s not light watching. David Tennant does an amazing job.
I am sorry about the situation at the bookstore. That’s a real bummer. My husband is out of work and we’re definitely feeling it. Thank goodness for my job. I hope things turn around for you! Have a good week!
Sorry to hear about the bookstore, this is just such a difficult time to run any business. I hope things pick up. And I’m hearing everyone talk about Making a Murderer and it’s no 1 on Netflix here so I need to jump on that bandwagon.
Fingers crossed the coming one is a better week.
It really is. It’s been a learning experience, but I think I’m ready to move on from it. Making a Murderer is…oddly fantastic but it’s so discouraging. It paints a rather sad picture of our justice system. And thanks, I need a better week
I hope things start looking up for the store in 2016. You did get a lot of reading done despite everything else you were doing. Have a wonderful week, Michelle. 🙂
Me too La La. And thank you!
